4.1 Google Ads API and IRL AI Core

When you authorize IRL AI Core to connect to a Google Ads account, the application uses Google’s OAuth 2.0 authorization process to access the Google Ads API for the purposes described on the IRL AI Core application page.

IRL AI Core currently uses the Google Ads API for keyword research and content-planning activities within the Insurance Review Lab research workflow.

The Google Ads data accessed through this integration may include keyword-planning metrics such as:

  • average monthly search volume;
  • competition and competition index;
  • average cost-per-click data; and
  • historical monthly search-volume data.

This information is used to support research analysis, keyword evaluation, and content-planning workflows for Insurance Review Lab.

How Google Ads Data Is Processed

Google Ads keyword metrics are processed within the IRL AI Core research workflow and may be retained as part of research artifacts and related internal processing.

The application may also derive non-identifying research signals from keyword metrics, where applicable, to support internal research and content-planning decisions.

In the current automated article-writing workflow, the raw Google Ads keyword-metrics artifact is not included in the input supplied to the article-generation model. The article-writing layer receives section-scoped evidence selected by the research pipeline rather than the raw Google Ads metrics artifact.

This statement describes the current implementation and may change if the data flow or application architecture changes.

Google Ads Data and Third Parties

We do not sell Google Ads API data or provide it to data brokers.

IRL AI Core does not currently use Google Ads keyword-planning data for advertising targeting, retargeting, creditworthiness assessments, lending decisions, or similar unrelated purposes.

Where Google Ads-derived information is processed by the application, its use is limited to the research and content-planning purposes described in this Privacy Policy and on the IRL AI Core application page.

OAuth Authorization and Credentials

Access to Google Ads is authorized through Google’s OAuth 2.0 authorization process.

IRL AI Core does not request or collect a user’s Google account password.

OAuth credentials and authorization tokens used to connect to Google services are treated as confidential credentials and are not intentionally published in the website, source repository, research artifacts intended for public distribution, or application logs.

Users may review or revoke third-party application access through their Google Account permissions.

Storage and Retention

Google Ads data processed by IRL AI Core may be stored as part of internal research artifacts and processing records for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the research workflow, maintain research lineage and auditability, protect the security of the service, resolve disputes, enforce applicable policies, and comply with legal obligations.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of record and its role in the research workflow.

Limited Use of Google Data

IRL AI Core uses Google Ads API data only for the purposes disclosed in this Privacy Policy and the IRL AI Core application description.

The application does not use Google Ads API data for purposes that are unrelated to the authorized research and content-planning functionality described above.
